Waking up at the start of the end of the world, But its feeling just like every morning before, Now I wonder what my life is going to mean if its gone,
Portland, Oregon. That city that is made up of all of those wealthy lawyers, doctors, and even musicians. And of course if you have those wealthy adults there must be their kids. Those very much educated, articulate, straight A students who never do anything wrong. They’re the parents’ little angels who would never do anything to go against them.
The cars are moving like a half a mile an hour if that I started staring at the passengers waving goodbye Can you tell me what was ever really special about me all this time
But of course it never is as the parents wish it was. The teenagers of Portland have such huge web of lies that no spider would be able to compete against them. They use any means to achieve what they want. No matter what it is, they always end up on top. It has always been that easy for those angels. For them, they will always have it easy under the wing of their parents. They don’t seem to realize that soon enough they won’t have everything they want at the snap of their fingers.
But I believe the world is burning to the ground Oh well I guess we're gonna find out Let's see how far we've come Let's see how far we've come
Vintage Preparatory is a prestigious academy that was created in 1905. Many of the wealthy citizens of Portland attended the school as did their parents and their parents’ parents. Generations go back for many years and those with the longest lines are the ones that definitely get it all. The alumni are the money for the school. They pay thousands and thousands of dollars annually just to have their children there and happy. To many, it is simply important to keep the last name going.
Well I, believe, its all, coming to an end Oh well, I guess, we're gonna pretend, Let's see how far we've come Let's see how far we've come
But all is never well in a school like Vintage Prep. Drama lives under every rock just waiting for its time to strike. And that it did. On January 28, 2008 the death of Benjamin Gregory took place on campus. They immediately declared it a suicide with the obvious evidence at the scene. But this act hit some of the students’ right in the face. Reality was finally sinking into them. That they never knew when or how their blessed lives would end.
I think its turning to a crock but I don't really know I can't remember caring for an hour or so Started crying and I couldn't stop myself I started running but there was no where to run to
Some took it as a signal to better their attitudes and themselves in general. Others took it as just another lowlife who had to go kill himself. They didn’t care about anyone who wasn’t at their level. They just went on with their lives without a simple care in the world. When will they learn that what they have won’t last forever? Well until that moment, nothing like a little more drama to get into action. Will you be a part of it?
I sat down on the street and took a look at myself Said where you going you know the world is heading for hell Say your goodbyes if you've got someone you can say goodbye to
