What was better than starbucks in the morning? Nothing! After stumbling out of her dirty little flat the girl needed a place to sit in peace. It just so happened that the nice couple who live above her thought it would be kind to wake Mollie up before midday with their rampant sex. As well as reminding the sex craved small girl that she had been lacking in that area for a week of so, it wasn't very nice. Especially due to knowing who the couple were and they just happened to be an old, morbidly obese couple, fair enough if their wanted a sex life but it would be nicer not to force those evil images on such a fragile mind. She was already messed up enough as it was. She didn't need fat naked people in her head as well.
Walking down the sidewalk the sun was already bright and so the girl had slipped on her dark sunglasses to stop the sun from burning the crap out of her bright green eyes. Her dress was of the usual style for herself. Dark, gray skinny jeans fitted her skinny legs and clung to her narrow hips with almost the threat of falling off. Her torso had a black hoodie with a band logo thrown over her head. Hood drawn up, some of that bright red hair of hers still managed to slip out the sides. Feet sheltered by some old, worn out shucks, Mollie didn't look very gang worthy or even the least bit scary. Although the girl was soon into her adult years there was still something rather 'innocent' and childlike about her.
Stepping into the shop a light groan slipped from her lips. The place was busy and what more noisy. She simply wanted to sit in peace with her nice drink to wake her up. Taking of her sunglasses she hooked them into her pants and wandered to the counter. Still with her hood up she got a few odd stares, it would have been worse if her whole hair of neon hair was in view, she should have really thought the whole thing through before joining a gang, it made her oddly traceable and people just seemed to notice her little self. Slipping into a seat with her fruity concoction of a drink, she decided on sugar instead of coffee. Head low as she took in the smell of the drink she sat quite happy in her own little world for the moment.

Julia absolutely couldn't agree more with Mollie. Starbucks in the morning was probably one of the best things in the world. Honestly, paying upwards of five or six dollars for coffee that would cost far less elsewhere was just so enjoyable. And so Julia had pulled herself out of bed and prepared herself for the day. She really didn't have plans, just get coffee, work on something for her tutor, and maybe go shopping. Her father was already gone when she woke up, probably off doing some sort of business or other. She missed spending time with him sometimes, but at least his work gave him power. And that power paid the bills. The power paid for the estate home she woke up at, the clothing she wore, and the car she would be driving.
Julia had taken her time in the shower, letting the water do the job of waking her up. Then she had dressed in her normal style, a bright pink polo and a pair of khaki pants. Topsiders adorned her feet, finishing off the country club groomed girl that she had become known as. She didn't look like she would belong to a gang, and in all truth she didn't. Her father wouldn't let her join the King's Men yet, but she was fairly sure that his position would one day be hers. A pair of oversized sunglasses sheilded her eyes as she climbed into a large SUV, the commonly used car of the King's Men. Driving it into the city promised either ultimate protection or a challenge to a member of another gang, but Julia was aiming for the former rather than the latter.
Julia parked on the street, depositing a few coins into a parking meter before heading into Starbucks. Crowded and noisy. She rolled her eyes, sliding the sunglasses onto her head as a headband as she waited in line, picking at the slight bit of dirt underneath her finger nails. After ordering and picking up a rather desert-like coffee and a muffin, Julia headed for one of the few open seats, which happened to be next to a girl who's clothing style was probably the polar opposite of Julia's. "Mind if I sit here?"

Mollie had become somewhat wrapped up in her own little world, trying to black out the noises of those around her was pretty hard though. The girl suffered from insanely bad paranoia, to her everything was a conspiracy, every single person who looked at her wanted to somehow harm her or at least make her look a fool. Literally everyone was against her, even her own gang yet she had somehow forced herself to trust those around her. That trust though that appeared so solid on the outside was in fact a tiny crumbling wall that she had to forever prop up. Luckily though very few people tried to break down that trust she felt for the gang and so she was hunky dory as far as the gang went. A voice dragged her from her own thoughts and bright green eyes glanced up to the female who had spoken.
A gentle but somewhat sleepy smile crept over her expression as she nodded lightly. "Knock yourself out." The rather cliche comment used in lazy yet somehow friendly tones. Her light southern accept gave a somewhat even friendlier scope to her persona. Of course Mollie had absolutely no clue who this girl was and didn't much care either, her lack of interest was probably due t her looking quite simply normal. Giving her a once over though she looked pretty wealthy, her clothes looked all new and shinny unlike Mollie's worn down ones. Still, she was comfortable was she not? And they certainly suited her bright self.
Pulling down her hood so she didn't seem quite so anti social, Mollie brushed fingers through her vibrant hair to get it somewhat neater than it already was. Giving the girl a slightly awkward glance Mollie was quite unsure weather to interact with her.

It seemed as if the girl had been lost in her thoughts before Julia spoke. Her own vibrant blue eyes scanned the person before her as she was told she could have a seat. She wouldn't want to take someone's seat, and she was glad to find one in the busy coffee house. Offering her own smile, this one a bit more perky, Julia slid into the seat and took a sip of her drink. Really, Julia just loved this place, regardless of claims by her friends that the coffee tasted burnt. After swallowing the warm drink, Julia turned back to the other girl. Her accent was interesting. People not from the city always interested her. She couldn't tell where it was from, but it was definately southern. But why would someone move here? It was a question that always itched at her when she met someone who wasn't local.
"If you don't mind me asking, where is your accent from?" She asked, looking the girl over again as she started to remove her hood. Julia did a double take as she saw the hair, blinking to make sure that she wasn't seeing things. No. The girl really had that vibrant of hair. Julia had never been one for dying her hair, she was quite content with being the color blonde that she was. The girl's awkward glance was almost enough to make Julia smile when paired with the hair, but she kept it in. After all, she was in the city. Who knew what kind of crazy people were in the city? She took another sip of her drink and then a bite of her muffin while waiting for the girl to answer her question. Either that, or be totally anti-social. And the social butterfly in Julia really wasn't going for the second choice.

Mollie would have replied to the question much sooner however her gaze was attached to a random man sitting a few tables across. He had taken one glance at Mollie and her thoughts had suddenly spiraled off. 'Oh my gosh, who is that? Did he just look at me? Maybe he's a spy...from another gang, what if he thinks I'm not here for coffee. Is that a gun?' Turning her attention quickly back to the girl opposite her, Mollie would clearly have to try and keep her paranoia under wraps although she wasn't doing brilliantly, of course she had medication but did she take it? Never at the right time. Her mind now reeling on the idea of some random male having a gun, she hated them, they literally scared the crap out of her. She had never been shot but the sound enough was painful to her.
"Tennessee..." She spoke rather quickly, almost as if in a rushed panic though the girl would obviously have no idea why. Calming herself she soon spoke again in softer, more friendly tones. "Nashville, I grew up there." With a gentle nod she then flashed a now bright side. Wanting to keep talking to keep her mind off this male who she now decided was plotting her death. Mollie too was also quite the social little thing, she couldn't function without people and would talk to a wall if he had to. "Are you from around here or some distant land?" A charming little smile to match her rather odd way of placing such a simple question. No, 'where are you from' was just too simple for the girl. Her choice of lexis was never simple and she never went the easy way around.

Julia's eyes followed Mollie's, coming to rest on the random man for a moment. She really had no idea who he was, and was trying to place him to figure out why the other girl had been staring at him. Then she felt the other teen's bright green eyes on her again, and turned back to face her. She wondered what the staring had been about, but she wasn't going to ask. Really, unless the other girl offered some sort of invitation, it wasn't her place. Maybe the two knew each other, or maybe the girl across from her had just gotten lost in her thoughts. It was a frequent occurance. Seriously, sometimes the city scared the crap out of Julia. The gangs usually didn't get to the suburbs, so she was always safe there. When she came to the city, she was always slightly more tense. After all, some gangs could just claim that something was their territory and go at someone for being there.
Julia stopped herself from raising an eyebrow at the other teen's rushed speech, but couldn't hide some of the confusion on her face. But she seemed to calm down, so Julia waved her confusion away. "Nashville, interesting." Julia had always wanted to travel to the south, but she had never had the chance. "Me? Born and raised here. Well, not here exactly. In the suburbs. I just come into the city to spend some days, help my dad's business when they need it." The girl's wording brought a small smile to Julia's face. She really was... interesting. "How long have you lived here?" The girl looked rather young, but that could be Julia being stupid.

Mollie took a small sip from her iced drink and awaited the reply from the girl. Once she got it she smiled lightly and nodded. This girl then would probably be quite up to date on all the gangs and what was going on in the city. The struggle against the king's men. Maybe she belonged to part of the rebellion. She wasn't about to ask though, Mollie found their current conversation to be quite pleasant and didn't want to spoil it with all that political crap. It was a little known fact, held close to Mollie that she was probably only in her current gang because it suited the vicious girl so well. Anything to do with rebellion, murder was what she was good at and any other gang would have probably suited her equally well. Still, now that Mollie had joined the gang she was certainly loyal, trust may not be something she could easily possess but loyalty was something she had bounds of...as long as it didn't include sex. That was the reason she was so terrible at relationships.
"Your Dad's a business man? That's pretty sweet, what business is it?" Mollie was asking with genuine curiosity in her tones. Of course she had not even thought a guess at what it may be nor how important her Father was. Every question she asked seemed to be in perfectly innocent curiosity and in reality it was. The question made Mollie bite her bottom lip gently in thought as she tried to count back. "Erm, just under a month I think, I'm still getting settled though, should be pretty decent if that couple living above me would stop sharing their love for each other so...loudly." A light giggle as she rolled her eyes though the couple did in fact do her head in. "Do you like helping your Dad?"

Oh, wonderful. Now the girl was asking what her father did. Julia closed her eyes for a moment, biting her bottom lip now. She could flat out lie about it, but lying could get you in even deeper trouble. Because then the person you lied to tended to get rather upset. "I guess you could call it politics. He funds a buch of things for this guy. It's not really that big." Alright, so the last part was a lie. But by the time she had let everything else slip, Julia wanted to slap herself. If this girl was a member of a gang, then she would be able to figure out who Julia was. And Julia wasn't in the mood to get into a fight in the middle of Starbucks.
She was ready to get off of the topic of business. "A month? That's nowhere near enough time to get to know the city. Trust me, you're going to love it. I'm sure that the couple above you will figure it out sometime." She said, smirking slightly. It was a rather disturbing, yet funny image. Luckily, Julia had been spared such sounds. The only people at her home were her father and a few other people who worked for them. "And that's something good about the suburbs, though really my house has more land than most others. No neighbors sharing their love for each other loudly enough for you to hear." She chuckled, taking another drink of her coffee.
She nearly choked on it, however, when the girl brought up business again. Julia composed herself, taking a breath. "Yeah, I like it. It's pretty fun. I really get to experience what it's like out in the world." Though, her world was probably quite different than that of the girl before her. "What about you? What do you do?"
